After much consideration, the Society Board has made the hard decision to cancel the Oak Bay Tea Party parade this year.  All other events including the midway and entertainment will continue as scheduled from June 5 to 7.

We appreciate that our parade has been a much loved community tradition for many years and the Board recognizes how much it means to residents and participants.  However, the Board has been faced with several challenges this year, such as new safety guidelines, shortage of volunteers, and rising operational costs.  All of these combined have greatly impaired the Board’s ability to move forward safely and responsibly.

The Board understands this news is disappointing, and it was not a decision that was made lightly.  The Board is committed to exploring ways to bring the Oak Bay Tea Party parade back next year to celebrate the 65th Oak Bay Tea Party!.
